Packing tips for a Stashable pick-up

Here are a few pointers on how to perfectly pack your stuff and prepare for our pickup.

Group like items

Pack things that you’ll want at the same time into the same box. That way, you don’t have to request two or three bins back for your favorite set of stuff, like your winter wardrobe.

Keep your record

We provide labels and an inventory form to make tracking all of your items in storage easy and organized. Label each box so that when you want it back, you can say “My sweater box” and we can deliver the right items back to you.

Don’t overpack

Spread heavier items (such as books) across several boxes to distribute the weight. This ensures the boxes won’t be under too much stress and you don’t get injured from moving the boxes.

Secure your boxes

If you are using the Stashable storage boxes, you get two numbered zip-ties that come along with each box. Feed the white tail of the lock through the yellow serial number side and tighten to lock.

Protect your larger Items

We are happy to provide you with materials to protect larger items. We suggest disassembling furniture, and protecting your stuff by using blankets and bubble wrap. Tape any smaller pieces to the item.

Consider donating

Stashable partners with local charities in the markets that we serve to donate your items that you no longer need. We also provide you with a receipt.
